Episode 388

Duchess and Tubby | 389

On this episode of The Boomer Bunker, John Jamingo, broadcasting live and possibly confused about the day, welcomes Duchess back from her Florida adventures. We learn that Duchess experienced the wild, exotic world of the Florida State Fair, where she bravely tried her very first corn dog (mustard, not ketchup, she’s not a monster) and somehow survived the donut-induced sugar attacks. She also witnessed motorcycles defying gravity in the “Wall of Death” and flexed her fishing prowess by catching five-inch catfish, proving she’s basically Florida Man in disguise.

Meanwhile, major breakthroughs occur as Duchess confirms there are apparently local bakeries and even the Amish making superior donuts, while John remains passionate about the one true donut prophet, Krispy Kreme. The episode detours through childhood wall-painting incidents (featuring a little Picasso with a dirty diaper), the existential crisis of carpet stains, and the never-ending saga of cats waging chemical warfare on furniture.

Relationships? Oh, don’t worry, the gang covers that too. John rants about millennials, “hub sons,” and why you apparently need a bell curve to find a decent man. They dissect whether women actually want “nice guys” or just liars with a penchant for emotional destruction, spoiler: it’s complicated, crazy is apparently in, and everyone wants to paint their damn living room a new color every five years.

You also get lessons in romance from TikTok “dating experts” with lists longer than CVS receipts, wedding rants from bridezillas carrying battle swords, and a heartfelt quest to get Cody a date. Awkward voicemails about racism, the Holocaust, octopus offspring, and masturbation metaphors round things out. It’s crass, it’s chaotic, and yes, there’s even time for a heartfelt plug of the Boomer Bunker Dating App: “Plenty of Wookies.”
